Vera "Dessie" Odessa Cook

Sunday November 18, 2018 Vera "Dessie" Cook, peacefully, surrounded always by love and family, at the St Thomas Elgin General Hospital.  Beloved wife of the late William Cook.  Much loved mother of Kathy and Ken Willson [predeceased], Donna Bury[Gene predeceased], Bob and Pat Cook, Barb and Dan Patterson. Predeceased by infant daughter. A very  special Grandmother of 16 Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.  Sister of Gwen, Jim and Dorothy, Bill, Don and Kay.  Predeceased by her brothers Burt, Doug, Henry and her sisters Eileen and Marguerite.  Dessie was dearly loved by her many nieces and nephews and by many friends.  Dessie's family was very important to her and her love was shown in many, ways.  She loved to feed everyone and holding any of the babies was a special  joy for her.  She was a faithful member for many years of St John's United Church.  Celebration of Life will be held on Friday November 23, 2018 at Pearce Williams Christian Centre  8009 Iona Rd  from  1:00 -2:00  with visitation after the service, from  2-4 pm. Donations to the Dunwich United Church or to Pearce Williams Christian Centre greatly appreciated.  Inurnment at Purcel- McLean Cemetery at a later date.  Arn Funeral Home 519-762-2416 entrusted with arrangements. arnfuneralhome@bellnet.ca
