Ruth E. (McCutcheon) Campbell

CAMPBELL, Ruth Eileen – Ruth Eileen (McCutcheon) Campbell, born in Strathburn, Ontario, and then of Cowal where she lived the rest of her life, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on Wednesday July 15, 2026 in her 94th year. She was the dearly loved wife of Archie T. Campbell (2010) for 53 years. She was treasured by her children - Margaret (Don) May of Glencoe; Grant (Karen) Campbell of Cowal; Jean (Paul) Sullivan of Kinburn. Loved Grandma to Gregory, Robert, Stuart May and Emily, (Nick Martin); Jenna (Adam) Wissink, Danny Campbell, Spencer (Danielle) Payne, Sean (Cali MacPherson) Payne, and John (Michaela McClymont) Sullivan, David, and Michael Sullivan. Special Great Grandma to Emmett, Addie, Levi, Cece, Hayden and Reese. Predeceased by her parents Stanley R. and Pearlie J. (George) McCutcheon, sister Lois J. (Kenneth) Field, sisters-in-law Katherine A. Campbell and Ann M. Campbell; and brother-in-law John D. (Elaine) Campbell; and daughter-in-law Joanne (Timmermans) Campbell. Ruth was a teacher all her life, and began her career in a one room school after graduating from London Normal School, retiring from Dutton Dunwich Public School in 1993. She loved nothing more than spending time with family, playing bridge, shopping and getting out with her beloved friends - the famous “Lunch Bunch.”

Friends will be received at the Arn Funeral Home 193 Shackleton St. Dutton, on Friday July 17, from 6:00 -8:30 pm

The funeral service will take place Saturday July 18, 2026 11:00 a.m. at Arn Funeral Home Dutton. Interment in Cowal-McBride Cemetery.
