Passed away peacefully June 3, 2020 at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Bob was born May 20, 1940. Beloved husband of the late Arlene Rose [Auckland] April 8, 2020. Bob and Arlene spent all their married life of 58 years working hard on the home farm. A loving father of twin girls Deborah Stunden and Diane Kelly [Carl]. A special Grandfather to Andrew [Andy], Stacey, Derek, and Adam. Adored Great Grandfather of Logan and Lillian.
Predeceased by his parents Cyriel[1983] and Helen [1994].Dear brother of the late Leo Van Colen[the late Marion], George Van Colen [Carolyn], the late Henry Van Colen, Mary. Sister of the late Mary Anderson [the late Calvin], Betsy Vanoverbeke [Honoree], Irene Lamers [the late Casey] a friend to Eric, and Jane Veraart [Bas]. Bob will be missed greatly by his brother and sisters along with all the in-laws.
Sister- in-law and brother-in-law of Jeanne Minhinnick [Ted], Ross Auckland [ Betty], Harry Auckland [Pat]. Predeceased by Ada Schram [Harold], George Auckland [Donna] and Walter Auckland.
Bob was a caring person to all who knew him; he would do anything for anyone; he enjoyed the family life. Bob touched the lives of all his nieces and nephews for the most of them all worked in tobacco on the farm. The family would like to thank the staff at the St Thomas hospital for all the great care Bob received there.
A procession will commence at the Arn Funeral Home to Cowal-McBride Cemetery where there will be a private family interment.
