Neil Clay Obituary

With great sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Neil Alexander Clay announce his passing at the age of 61 at Bluewater Palliative Care Centre, Sarnia on Saturday, November 3rd, 2007.
Much loved husband, best friend and companion of Carol (Faulds) Clay. Loving and devoted father to Rory (Heather) of Mt. Brydges and Ryan (Tina) of Forest. Proud, doting Grandpa and "Pops" to the 6 "apples of his eye", Samantha, Matthew, Steven, Devin, Sage and Hunter. Survived by his "favourite mother-in-law", Ella Faulds of Brookeside Home in Watford and brothers and sisters-in-law Ron and Verna Faulds of Coldstream, Bruce and Diana Faulds of Strathroy and Marilyn and Ed Stephens of Watford. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Major W. King Clay (1976), mother Ila (1978) and sister Beverley (1961) all from Kingston.
Neil came to the Forest area in 1966 from Kingston to serve on the OPP, Forest detachment for 12 years. He then joined London Life, branched out and started a financial services business. He had a passion for people, a great love for golf (7 holes in one), fishing and was a car enthusiast. A private family service and burial at Arkona cemetery has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family in a celebration of Neil's life on Thursday, November 8th, 2007 at 11 am at Forest United Church, 21 James St. N. Rev. C. Larmond officiating.
If desired, memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Francis Hospice, Sarnia or the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.
