Nathan Troy Firus
July 4th 2004 – July 4th 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Nathan Troy Firus, who left us far too soon at the age of 21. Nathan’s spirit was as bright as his big blue eyes, and as genuine as his smile that made everyone feel safe.
Son of Michele Terczynski, and the late Allan Firus.
Loving brother of Ashlynn Hollohan, Matthew Hollohan (Elea), and Corey Demers.
Grandson of Dianne Whitney-Firus
And Carol Karns-Terczynski, and late Roger Terczynski
Nathan was known for his extraordinary kindness and patience towards people. He had a natural gift with animals- from horses to reptiles- and found special joy being surrounded by the creatures he loved. Whether it was catching frogs and snakes out in Port Stanley with his Dad or simply walking outdoors. Nathan was always happiest in nature.
He was a beloved Son, Brother, and above all an amazing Uncle to his nephew Adley, who called him “Uncle Nathe” The bond they shared was like no other, and full of laughter.
Nathan was incredibly talented in many ways. He had a passion for soccer and could always be found kicking around a ball. He was a magician with a deck of cards, leaving his friends and family in awe of his clever tricks and quick hands. One of his favourite pastimes was playing video games and chess with his older brother Matthew.
He had hopes and dreams of becoming a Zoologist one day. More than anything, Nathan was known for his gentle heart. He made people feel seen, heard and valued. His kindness was genuine, and his presence made people feel welcome. Nathan’s adventurous soul and joyful laughter will be forever missed. Though he may be gone from our sight, the memories he gifted us will remain forever etched in our hearts. We will all miss him dearly.
Come and remember Nathan with his family at Arn Funeral Home 193 Shackleton St., Dutton on July 15 from 10:00a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life that will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Fingal Cemetery.
