Murray Neuman Harries

Murray passed away at the St Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, at the age of 98.  Born January 24th, 1926, in Yarmouth Township, son of the late Llyod Newman Harries and the late former Marion Ethel Percy.  Murray was a member of the Eastern Star and a lifelong member of the Masons.  Predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Marion Louise Baker (February 1st 2015) and son, Duane Harries (August 18, 2022), sister Myrtle (2014) and Keith Woolley (2007).  Much loved father and father-in-law of: Wayne and Deborah Harries, and Beth Mullis.  Proud and loving grandfather of Joseph and Stephanie Harries, Sarah and Kyle Krebs, Cherilynn Mullis and Nicole Mullis.  And loving Great Grandpa to Cash, Wyatt and Gage Harries.   Survived by his sister, Jean Siple (Durward), and many nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Murray worked many years off the farm at Co-op, TCG Materials.  He was, at heart a farmer, and nothing made him happier then growing and harvesting his crops and tending to the livestock, be it pigs years ago and most recently beef cattle.

Public visitation on Friday September 6th, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. At the Arn Funeral Home, at 193 Shackleton Line, Dutton (519-762-2416).  Funeral service to be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday September 7th, 2024 at 10:30 am, interment of Murray and Marion’s ashes at Aylmer Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
