The family of Marion Gertrude Page, of Dunwich township, are deeply saddened to announce her sudden passing at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday June 14, 2020 in her 88th year. Much loved wife of Donald H. Page. Dearly loved mother of Donald [Cathi], Gerald, Paul [Riitta], Andrew [Christine], and Elaine Whitehead [Brock]. Adored Grandmother of James [Janice], Charles [Haley], Samantha, Sydney, Lauren, Oliver, Isabelle, Paige, Connor and Sarah. Very special Great Grandmother of Clark, Elliott, Mackenzie and Cameron. Marion is survived by her sisters Helen Orchard, Catherine Ford and brother-in-law John (Jack) Page. Predeceased by her parents J. Clarence and Jeanetta [Bobier] Patterson, her brothers-in-law Jim Orchard and Albert Ford, and her sister-in-law Ethel Page.
At 87, she died well before her time and before any of us were ready. Her laughter and sense of humour would cheer anyone up. Her husband of 67 years, her family, sisters, church, and her community were all very important to Mom. Her beloved Toronto Blue Jays will never know what a true fan she was. Although distance kept her apart from friends and family, mom was mastering technology which allowed her to Skype with her husband and family.
As a result of the current Covid-19 restrictions, friends and family will be received in a drive-through visitation on Friday, June 19th at 2-5pm, at Arn Funeral Home, 193 Shackleton St., Dutton [519-762-2416].
