Maria Scholten Obituary

SCHOLTEN
Maria Scholten, formerly of Watford, died peacefully in her sleep, on January 13th, 2006, at Strathmere Lodge, in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her devoted husband, Theodorus (1956) and dear grandson, Joe Grozelle (2003). Survived by her "lieve zus" Fien Scholten of Holland. Loving Mother of Ben and Lynn Scholten, Minnie and Ron Grozelle, Ted Scholten, Mary and Lou Jansen and Dinnie and Alex Erickson. Cherished "Grammy" of 16 grandchildren- Benny, Tammy, Teresa, Dan, Jimmy, Nikki, Corri, Amy, Cindy, Teddy, Michelle, Brian, Heather, Lara, Eric and Hugh. Great grandma of 12 great grandchildren- Samantha, Jesse, Dylan, Cassandra, Amber, Zachary, Alexander, Sawyer, Baylie, Owen, Boady and Noah. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17th, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Harper Funeral Home in Watford. Prayers at 4pm on Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Wednesday, January 18th at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Watford with Father John Sharp Celebrant. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association of Canada would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks from the family to the staff at Strathmere Lodge for their outstanding care and compassion.
