Maria Dulce Simões Madeira
It is with deep love and great sadness that we share the passing of Maria Dulce Simões Madeira on September 6, 2025, at Strathroy Hospital. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord, she entered into eternal rest in her 80th year of life. She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 32 years, Amilcar Madeira, with whom she shared a life rooted in faith, family, and love.
She leaves behind four cherished children: Anna Silva (Augusto), Paula Alves (Carlos), Alcina Paiva (Paulo), and Mike Madeira (Darlene). She was the proud and joyful grandmother of 10 grandchildren (Michelle, Lisa, Christine, Vanessa, Ashely, Jason, Alyssa, Aleah, Marisa, Adam) and 11 great-grandchildren, each one the pride of her heart and the center of her world.
Maria's life was defined by love, service, and faith. She devoted herself to her family, always present with guidance, strength, and unconditional care. A woman of deep devotion, she was an active parishioner whose kindness, generosity, and compassion touched everyone she encountered.
Her legacy is one of faith, love, and service values she lived daily and instilled in her family. She will be forever remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and as a proud Portuguese woman who joyfully embraced her heritage.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Arn Funeral Home, Dutton, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 5-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, West Lorne, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Mary's Church , honoring Maria's life of faith and service.
May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of Christ.
