Marguerite McCarthy Obituary
Marguerite Jean McCarthy (nee Babineau) passed away on October 13, 2024, at the age of 77. She was the devoted partner of the late Gar Cooper (2020). Maggie was the loving mother to: Shari (Dave) Martin, Michael (Lisa) McCarthy, Darren Cooper, Darcy (late Karen) Cooper, and Darlene Morin. She was a proud grandmother to: Alysha (Dustin) Ahrens, David (Hannah) Martin, Samantha (James) Baker, Brett Cooper, and Cassie Shiell, and a loving great-grandmother to Rhys Ahrens and the late Joey Cooper (2021). She will be greatly missed by her Aunt Shirley Farrell, with whom she shared many laughs over the years.
Maggie loved a good joke, a cup of tea, and catching up with family and friends. She was an avid Scrabble player, reader, and movie buff.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Bobier Villa for their compassionate care during Maggie’s time there.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sarnia & District Humane Society would be appreciated.
