Peacefully at the St Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, on Monday, December 27th, 2004, Kenneth M. McGahan of West Lorne and formerly Rodney in his 67th year. Born in Rodney, a son of Harry and Margaret McGahan, he spent his life as a professional truck driver. Dearly loved and sadly missed by his wife Kathy (nee Schmeltz); daughter Lorie Scott and her husband Tim of Chatham, sons Randy and his wife Nancy of Newbury, Reggie and his wife Joanne of Rodney; grandchildren Kyle, Melissa, Meaghan and Kristina White; Michael and Christina Scott; Nathan, Michael, Tyler, Kristalyn, Kinsey, Joshua, Brendan, Lucas and Amy McGahan. Dear brother of Bud, Glen and Tex McGahan and Phyllis Wolfe. Also survived by his mother in law Myrtle Schmeltz and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Red McGahan and step brother Claude Gray. Visitation was before the funeral service which was held at the Rodney Chapel on Wednesday, December 29th at 1:30 p.m., Joseph Kyle officiated. Interment Rodney Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society or Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Padfield Funeral Home, Rodney (785-0810).
