Kathleen Bernice "Kay" Chamberlain of Dutton, formerly Shedden, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Carl Chamberlain [2017]. Dear daughter of the late Ken[1988] & Grace [1983, Marshall]. Adored mother of Debbie [Dan Logghe], Pat Stannard, Karen Olmstead, Dave [Catherine] & Paul [Terri]. Proud Grandma of Karey [Jenn], Jamie, Bryce, Bev [Neil], Kim, Valerie, Joe, Jeff, Charlotte [Steve], Marshall, Mackenzie, Douglas, Aidan & Ellie. Great-Grandma to Mackayla, Peighton, Lucas, Lilly, Malin & Juliana. Sister and sister-in-law of Reg [2019,Joyce], Don [2003, Chris], Pauline Patterson [Bill, 2016], & Ruby Silcox [Bob 2016]. Kay was born in Iona, and lived most of her life in the Shedden area; 12 years in Cowal with her young family, and finished her life in Dutton at Bobier Villa. She taught public school in McBrides and them became a music teacher for several schools. When Southwold school opened, she began teaching there.She taught private piano lessons for years and in 1988 started her group lessons in Music for Young children. She played for a variety of churches including Lawrence Station,Cowal, Shedden, Fingal and Port Stanley.
Kay spent hours volunteering with her church groups,with Women Institute and the Christmas Shoppe to name a few. She and Carl led sing-a-longs at senior homes weekly and for 35 years volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She loved to share her enjoyment in music.
Our heartfelt thanks to Bobier Villa ,Dutton,for the wonderful care she has received in the final 8 years of her life. We will miss our Bobier family.
