John Raymond (Ray) Hull
1935 - 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Ray Hull share the news that, on Thursday October 7th, 2021, surrounded by his family, he passed away peacefully at the age of 86. Ray was born in Dutton to Ernest and Nellie Hull and lived his whole life here. Ray was predeceased by his wife Betty (McMillan) Hull (2014). Dear father and father-in-law of Kevin and Brenda Hull, Karen and Robert Keith, Colleen and Lloyd McCready, Chris and Wayne Horst, the late Elaine Welch (2010) and Dave Welch. Will also be greatly missed by his dear friend Georgette Sinclair. Cherished grandfather of Lindsey (Eric) and Gregory (Amanda), Ashton (Jonathan), Breanna and Michelle, Nick (Melanie) and Eric (Ana), Jayme (Dave), Sheri (Justin) and Shalena, Caitlin (Tyler) and Michael. Also his great-grandchildren Maxton and Isla, Callan and Finley, Jade and Noah, Addilynn. Dear brother of Shirley Hull, Arnold (Eileen) Hull, Sheila Lyons, Goldie Pickering and Bonnie Hull. Predeceased by Pat McCallum, William (Bill) Hull, Robert Hull and George Hull. Dear brother-in-law of Janet McMillan, Robert (Pat) McMillan and Mary Ellen (Len) Lee. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Ray worked on the Railroad for the Bridge and Building department for over 45 years. After retirement he enjoyed volunteering for West Elgin Community Health Centre and St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Ray was also active in the West Elgin Dramatics society and SMAK Dinner theatre in Appin. Family & friends will be received at the ARN FUNERAL HOME 193 Shackleton St. Dutton 519-762-2416 from 12:30 - 1:30 on Tuesday, October 12th (masks required). A funeral service, by invitation, will be held at 2 pm. Donations in Ray’s memory may be made to Knox St. Andrews Presbyterian Church or charity of your choice.
