John "Jack" Raymond Vowel

He didn't say "Goodbye". He said  "So long".

Jack passed away on March 21, 2022 at the age of 94, a lifelong resident of Dutton. Jack will be remembered by his family and friends who have fond memories of his loving kindness, generosity and quick wit. Jack worked for 44 yrs on the railroad and was no stranger to hard work. Married to Grace Ialene (Lyons) Vowel of 74 yrs. (predeceased). Survived by his daughter Marion Binks (Allan) of Rodney and son David (Bonnie) of Dutton, His grandchildren Lori (Pete) Penner, Tillsonburg, Jonathan (Karen)Binks, Lucan Justin (Hatti) Binks Burlington, Jason Vowel (Deborah) of Dutton Dunwich, Kristie Vowel, St. Thomas. Survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jack was a simple man and appreciated the simple things in life like Sunday dinners with his family around him. Tall Tales Cafe was another favourite and loved hanging out with the Wallacetown boys. Predeceased by brother Donald Frederick Vowel of St Thomas who also worked for the railroad.

Visitation will take place on Fri. Mar. 25th at 10:00 am. at Arn Funeral Home 193 Shackleton St Dutton [519-762-2416] where the Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am.  Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.  Donations can be made to Animal Aid and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
