On May 30, 2026 John Clarence Kalita joined his creator. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Celedonia and her parents , Ireneo and Anita Aquino. John will be forever remembered by his children, Adam and Tracey, John Robert, Krystal and Dayne, Carl and Czarina and six grandchildren. He was a loving brother to Gary, Carolyn, Diane, Joann, Christine, Peter, Paul, Mary and David; brother-in-law to Mylin, Mila, Lani, Sherryl, Cheery, Ireneo Jr., Dennis, William and Jonathan. John is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Thelma Kalita.
John moved to Edmonton from the family farm in West Lorne, Ontario. His career as a truck operator provided many stories of hard work and laughter and is survived by many nieces and nephews who have lots of stories to remember him by. He enjoyed the outdoors and was looking forward to spending time at the lake this summer.
John's unique character and heart of gold will be remembered always.
