Janet Mabel McMillan, born on October 3rd,1936,completed her  journey on Wednesday June 8th,2022, at the age of 85 years.   Janet leaves behind her brother Bob[Pat] and family, her sister  Mary Ellen Lee[Len] and family. Dearly loved "Aunt J." to Megan  Eighteen [Bill] and family, Melissa Bailey and family, Jeff Lee  [Kiearra] and family, Renee Corriveau, Anabelle Lee, Kevin Hull  [Brenda] and family, Karen Keith [Rob] and family, Colleen  McCready [Lloyd] and family, Chris Horst [Wayne] and family, Dave Welch and family.
Predeceased by her parents Robert and Ethel McMillan, eldest  sister Betty Hull, brother-in-law Raymond Hull, nephew Michael  Lee, niece Elaine Welch.
Janet embraced her family, friends and community with devotion and spirit. Her outgoing generosity toward family members and  friends was ongoing. Janet was a life time member of St. John's  United Church. She taught Sunday School for many years and  participated as a choir member and Board member.
Janet enjoyed participating in community center events as well as being "ticket taker" for many years at the Dutton Highland Games UCW luncheon. Janet actively participated in the "4bs" -  bowling, bingo, bridge and baking. Her crowning achievements were  her delicious date squares and her position as teller at the  Royal Bank in Dutton for 35 years. Unstoppable in her retirement  Janet found great delight in travelling throughout Canada and  abroad. Her travels included bringing back a souvenir for every  family member. Janet shared happy times with friends and  neighbours at her home on Nancy St and later at Caledonia  II, Dutton. She continued to develop warm friendships at Oneida  Long Term Care Home over the past two years.
Heartfelt thanks to Oneida staff and Palliative Care staff at St  Thomas Elgin general Hospital.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be welcomed at Arn Funeral Home 193  Shackleton St Dutton, N0l 1J0 [519-762-2416] Saturday June 18,  2022 for visitation 1:00 -2:30 pm where the Funeral Service will  commence at 2:30 pm. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of  flowers donations in Janet's memory may be made to the Canadian  Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of  choice.
