Peacefully, surrounded by his family, James "Rick" Beecroft in his 82nd year, at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital, December 27,2024.Dearly loved husband for 62 years of Susan ( Dupuy)Beecroft. Loving father of Richelle, Debbie (Dick) Bogart, Laura Lee, Ken (Tammy) Beecroft. A special grandfather of Mike, Mark (Sara), Brad, Josh (Krista), Kyle (Shilo) Bogart, Jamie (Dan), Jett Beecroft.Great grandfather of Chloe and Blake.Rick is survived by his sister Carol Weir and nephews Jamey (Corinne)Doan, Jason (Trish) Weir. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Norma (Webber) Beecroft.
Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a musician from his early years, playing guitar and singing in the family band. Always ready to jam with his "jammin family", always the entertainer. His other passions were playing snooker, cards,golf,camping and love for his dogs. Rick loved his Toronto Maple Leaf's and was always hoping. Rick always had a story to tell,whether it was true or a little bit of a stretch; you were never sure. Rick will be greatly missed by his loving wife Susan and all of his family. Family and friends will be welcomed at Arn Funeral Home Dutton 193 Shackleton St, (519-762-2416) on Friday January 3, 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00 -9:00 pm. where the Funeral Service will be held Saturday January 4, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Luncheon and fellowship to follow at Lawrence Station Hall. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Donations in Rick's memory to the Animal Aid St Thomas or the West Elgin Daffodil Auxiliary gratefully accepted.
