Helen Eileen Tyrell

      It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Eileen Tyrell  announces her passing on Monday February 21, 2022 at the age of  90 years.  Helen will be lovingly remembered by her sister Mary  Longhurst, niece Sharon Tilbrook, Aunt Irene Fryer, cousins Lorne and Terri Fryer, Eric and Amanda Fryer, Nick and Kelsey Fryer  and Lizzi Fryer.  She will be sadly missed by many friends  including Sandy McLeod, Bee Oke and Renee Kleinjan. Helen was  predeceased by her mother Ann Fryer, Stewart McGaw and several  Aunts and Uncles.  She was also predeceased by her special canine friend Lucky.
Helen was a kind, caring person. In her younger years she was a  member of the Salvation Army and was stationed on the east coast  where she counseled unwed mothers. Later in life as a prison  guard she helped men and women learn to read and taught them  skills they could use upon release. She continued her caring ways by taking care of her mother Ann and Stewart in their elderly  years. After a visit with Helen you could not help feeling better about yourself and having a better outlook on life. She will be  missed by many.  Family and friends will be received Saturday  February 26 at Arn Funeral Home193 Shackleton St, Dutton N0L 1J0  [519-762-2416] 10:00 until the time of service at 11:00 am.   Social distancing and masks must be respected. Cremation to take  place after with inurnment at a later date. Charitable donations  may be made in Helen's memory to the Salvation Army.
