Hank Schnekenburger

Hank passed away peacefully at Four Counties Hospital on January 2, 2026 after a brave 6-year battle with heart failure.

Husband to Norma (nee McNicol) and father of Henrietta, son of Norman and Josephine (nee Trudell), eldest brother to Loretta, Wilma, Ed, Vic, Allan, Paul and Jim and uncle to many dear nieces and nephews.

Hank devoted his life to the care of animals. He was blessed with an imagination that fueled him to be a one-of-a-kind storyteller. But his best part was his heart – the size of a bushel basket.

The family is grateful to Four Counties Hospital for saving him five times and to Sarah and Christine at the Heart Failure Clinic for giving him a bonus year of quality life.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 17, 2026 at St Mary's Church West Lorne at 10:00 a.m.  Immediately after the service, inurnment will take place at St Mary's cemetery. 

Everyone is invited to the Parish Hall for eulogies and a light lunch.
