Gloria Ann (Walker) Johnston

Peacefully at L.H.S.C. London, July 8, 2024 Gloria Ann Johnston (nee Walker) of West Lorne at the age of 80.  Loving wife of the late Robert Johnston (2002). Step-mother of Vickie Simpson (late Peter) and Gary (Sherri). Loving step-grandmother of 3 grandchildren.  Lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law Dorothy, Shirley, Earla, Caren, Marilyn, Kathy and Norma.  Predeceased by her parents Newton & Freda (nee Forsyth) and by her brothers Ronald (Marie), Gerry, Robert, Ted (Barb), Harley (Roseanne), Bev, Gary, Bill, Jack and Dennis and brothers-in-law Mac, Ted and Dick Johnston.  Also pre-deceased by one step-grandchild.  Gloria "Moe"  was a favorite Aunt to many nieces and nephews.  A life long resident of West Lorne, Gloria was a great athlete in her high school days playing volleyball, basketball, baseball and hockey. She went to work in the Rodney Bank, and then she and her brother Jack opened the Town & Country Restaurant in West Lorne.  After selling the restaurant she worked at Erie Flooring until her retirement.
 
Visitation will be held at the Arn Funeral Home in West Lorne on Thursday, July 11 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 1:00 pm.   Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Gloria may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
