It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Garry Kirschner, age 57, on February 4, 2025. Garry was born on April 6, 1967, in St. Thomas, Ontario and led a life rich in intellectual curiosity, perseverance, and good fun. He was a dedicated and supportive husband, father, papa and friend, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, laughter, and adventure. Proud master electrician and business owner of Kirschner Electric Ltd., Garry’s professional life was defined by hard work, dedication, and a passion for his trade. He was not only skilled but also incredibly creative, always taking on new challenges and looking for ways to innovate. Garry’s presence was strong and magnetic. His infectious laugh and warm smile had the unique ability to light up any room. Garry was well-known for captivating the room with his quick wit, extraordinary story-telling and deep-perspectives. He truly brought life and energy to every interaction, no matter how big or small and will be remembered for bringing many people together. Garry was also an outdoor enthusiast spending much of his free time, at peace hunting and fishing, spending time with friends and family by a fire or excitedly exploring nature on the boats, four-wheelers, ski-doo's. If not in nature, you would likely find him on the racetrack, fixing up vehicles, working on a home project or pondering life’s greatest mysteries. He was always seeking the next adventure or new idea, never missing an opportunity to makes new memories. Garry was a devoted husband to his wife, Angela Kirschner, he joins his late son, Zachary Kirschner (Cheyenne Smyth), and will be deeply missed by his daughter, Mackenzie Kirschner (Jesse Bell), his cherished grandchildren, Kathleen, Hudson, and Alarah Kirschner and stepchildren Ashley and Cody Merriam. He is survived by his mother, Pamela North, predeceased by his father, Jerry Kirschner and will be fondly remembered by his sisters, Sherry Hunter, and Brenda (Barry) Gregory amongst the rest of his family and friends. We know that all who had the privilege of knowing Garry will be wishing him the best in his transition. His spirit, energy, and passion for life will live on in the stories we share and memories we all hold so tenderly in our hearts. A visitation will take place on Sunday February 9, 2025, at Arn Funeral Home, 193 Shackleton St., Dutton, Ontario, 6:00pm-8:00pm where the Funeral Service will also be held on Monday February 10, 2025, at 2:00pm. Interment in Fairview Cemetery to follow. In honour of Garry, donations may be made out to the Critical Care Trauma Centre at L.H.S.C.
