Edward Joseph Schnekenburger

Peacefully, at Four Counties Health Care Services in Newbury, Edward Schnekenburger passed away surrounded by his family, in his 88th year. Dearly loved husband and life partner of Mary Ellen (Schleihauf) Schnekenburger for almost 67 years. Ed will be greatly missed by his children , Cheryl (Fernando), Tracy (Rick), Norm (Brenda,) Dan (Traci ). Loved grandfather of Jamie(1999), Nicole (Willie), Mindy, Courtney (Justin,) Shane, Taylor, Nolan. Proud great grandfather of Madisson, Matthew, Caden, Zuri, Mackenzie . Ed and Mary Ellen lived and farmed on Argyle Line including tobacco and cash crops, Racing and raising Standardbred horses and raising their four children. Always being a sports enthusiast,  he especially loved baseball and hockey, He was known to be one of the best windmill pitchers around pitching at 100 miles an hour. Ed was a coach to his girls many baseball teams. Ed followed Norm in his race car years, Ed played pick up hockey  with Dan. Ed could be found at the many horse tracks or casino. Ed was always telling jokes even to the end. He was simply there for everyone but his greatest love was for his family He was very proud of each one and loved them deeply .

In keeping with Ed's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will take place in St Mary's Cemetery later
