It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eldon “Ross” Lashbrook on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 in Sarnia, Ontario at 94 years of age. Ross is dearly missed by Irene (nee Redman) Lashbrook, his beloved and devoted wife of 70 years.
Ross leaves behind loving memories of his three children. He is predeceased by his son Richard “Rick” (Roxanne) and dearly loved by Dianne (Bill) Bissonnette and Kevin (Christina).
Grandpa to seven grandchildren - Shannon (Ben McMurachy), Sean (Raquel) & Ken (Tiffany Adams) Lashbrook, Janine (Peder) Madsen & Michael (Roberta) Bissonnette, and Emma & Ryan Lashbrook.
He is remembered as Great Grandpa to Ryder, Seth, Bodhi, Wesley, Jackson, Hunter, Malcolm & McKenna.
Ross is predeceased by brother, Beverly and sister, June Moore. He is lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Always one for ‘cracking’ a joke, Ross is remembered for his longtime stewardship of Lashbrook Produce, the Egg Breaking Plant founded by his father Bert, and run by Ross and brother, Bev from 1964 until his retirement in 1991.
Ross was an avid member of his community, be it his longtime home in Rodney, Ontario, Bluewater Country in Sarnia, or his snowbird home at Palm Hill Country Club in Largo, Florida. Ross could often be spotted on the golf course, playing shuffle board, lawn bowling, or just out for one of his many walks. As a 50 year member, Ross boasted a long history of service through his membership in various Masonic Lodges.
We sincerely and deeply thank the staff of Afton Park Place for their compassionate care of Ross over the past two and a half years, and Bluewater Health for the kindness shown to him while in their care.
The family appreciates well wishes, and asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada in memory of Ross Lashbrook (www.alzheimer.ca)
Funeral arrangements are managed by Arn Funeral Home, 212 Furnival Road, Rodney. A Masonic Service West Elgin Lodge 386, will be held at 12:30 with visitation starting at 1:00pm on the 28th of November 2025, with a Celebration of Life service immediately following a 2:00pm. Ross will be laid to rest in Rodney Cemetery.
