Obituary

Donald (Don) Leslie Tayes passed away peacefully surrounded by angels on January 30, 2021. He was born August 5, 1942 in Upham Kings County New Brunswick, a place he cherished and always made time to revisit. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Shirley of 55 years, his three daughters, Linda (Donnie) Dionne, Donna (Tony) Gosnell and Ann Marie (Tim) Hansen, his grandchildren Zachari, Joshua (Megan), Jason, Brandon (Cassie), Dylan, Charli (Colton), Brett (Allie), Taylor (Stefan), Madison (Chris), Austin, Abi (Andy), Arisa and 6 great grandchildren. He will also be fondly remembered by his sisters Leona McEwen, Winnifred (Guy) Colpitts and Norma (Willard) Mallory all of New Brunswick, and an abundance of relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents William and Althea Tayes, his brothers and sisters, Wallace (Nora) Tayes, Cora (Percy) Allaby, Wesley (Helen) Tayes, Doris (George) Fortune, Austin (Theresa) Tayes, Ruby (Grant) Sharpe, Marcella (Doug) Ghillcrist, Alfred, Reginald and 2 infant siblings and brother in law Paul McEwen and grandson Donny.

Don had retired from Ford Motor Company in 1997 and pursued his passion for woodworking and enjoyed spending his time with family. He will be deeply missed and remembered forever.
