D. Marilyn Crossley – June 3, 1933 – Sept. 26, 2024 passed away peacefully in her 92 year.
Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Jack and her parents Norman and Beatrice Clayton. She was a deeply loved mother to her daughters Catherine Gardiner and Janice Mardell (Kevin). Treasured grandmother of Michelle (Nick), Brian, Stephen (Eliza) and Andrew (Genevieve). Very special great grandmother to Theo, Adeline, Jack and Isabelle. Dearly loved sister of Norma Clory.
Marilyn was born and raised in Fort Erie. While working as a secretary at Horton Steel she met and married Jack. They later moved to Fonthill and eventually to Belmont where they spent many happy hours with their family.
Marilyn will always be remembered for her beautiful gardens, her love of Florida, country music, fishing, golf, playing her Hawaiian guitar, crafts, painting and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Family would like to thank the Health Care teams at Victoria Hospital in London and St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for their wonderful care provided to mom over the last few weeks.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Arn Funeral Home in Dutton. Please share a memory or condolences at Arn Funeral Home.ca Marilyn will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Dorchester. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Hospice of Elgin, St. Thomas would be appreciated.
