Peacefully, surrounded by family, Charles “Allan” Woolner passed away in his 93nd year. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Lois (Baker) Woolner for 67 years. Allan will be deeply missed by his daughters Carol Kerkvliet (Peter), Ruth Anne McCallum (Ken), and Judy Macuda (Rob Rodger). Special Grandpa to Michael Kerkvliet (Elizabeth Nagy), Jeffrey Kerkvliet, Jason Kerkvliet (Dina Kuttab), Ian McCallum, great grandson Victor. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Norine (Baynton) Woolner, his sister Marion Wright (Howard) and his brother-in-law Paul (Joyce) Baker.
Allan was a lifelong farmer on the 3rd concession of Aldborough Township. He and Lois had cattle, pigs, poultry, and cash crop. They had a Pioneer seed dealership for over 40 years. He was an active community member, being a director on the Rodney Fairboard for 60 years and a long time member of the Kintyre and St John’s church families. He enjoyed a good game of euchre, and socializing with neighbours and friends.
The family is forever grateful for the kindness and exemplary care given to Allan at Babcock Community Care and support at Royal Oak Senior Living.
The family invites friends, relatives and neighbours to visitation at Arn Funeral Home Rodney, 212 Furnival Rd, Rodney on Friday August 29, 4:00 – 8:00 pm, where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday August 30, 2025 at 11:00 am. Interment in McLean Cemetery.
We invite friends to wear a John Deere hat or apparel to the interment. Allan was seldom seen without the JD badge.
