  Catherine (Kay) passed away peacefully at the Elgin Manor, St Thomas Ontario, Aug 11, 2024, in her 94th year.  Beloved wife of the late Pat Waite (2023) for 71 years.  Loving mother of Beverly Caley (predeceased) (Robert), Nancy (Hugh) Hunter, Janet Waite, Susan (Boris) Pertout and Richard (Deb) Waite.  Predeceased by parents, Wilfred Alexander McKellar, and Emily Ruth McKellar (Gammon), brother Donald, sisters Margaret and Evelyn.  Survived by sister Audrey.  Loving Grandmother to Jennifer (Keith Clarke) Michael (Nichole) and Laura (Darren Gooder) Caley, Joshua (Katie), Jacob (Charlotte), and Cheri (Chad McGahan) Hunter, Dillon (Carley) and Lowgan Pertout and Tim Waite.  Great Grandmother to Aedan, MacKenzie, Kiara, Declan, Emily, Allison, Jace, Cash, Audrey, Ruby, Emery, and Isabel.

Catherine was a lifetime resident of Dutton-Dunwich, where she and Pat farmed together for many years.  Kay also worked as a bookkeeper and was a longtime member of the Wallacetown Women’s Institute.

We would like to give special thanks to the PSW’s that work at Caledonia Gardens in Dutton.  Their good cheer and support were very much enjoyed and appreciated by Mom and the family.  Thanks also to Elgin Manor staff for all their care.

A private funeral is being held.
