"Breezy" Don Campbell

Obituary

 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Donald “Breezy” Campbell on April 12, 2020 in his 91st year.  Born on August 4, 1929.  Beloved husband to Shirley (Milligan).  Father to Steven, Mike (Cindy), Wayne (Phyllis), Joan (Alfred) McRae, Carol (Jim Vanoverbeke).  Survived by brother and sister-in-law’s Shirley Campbell, Mary Campbell, Betty (George) Beaudry, and Bill Barber.

Predeceased by his brothers Ronald and Robert; sister Alice and her husband Duaine Nelson; sister-in-law Pauline Barber, and son-in-law Kyle Andrews.

Much adored grandfather to Jason, Darrell (Bonnie), Bradley; Justina (Ricardo), Scott (April); Andrew (Jess), Tyler (Josie), Adam (Kristin), Sarah (Scott); Matthew (Janessa); Jonathan (Jen); Katie and Ezra.  Also survived by 16 great grandchildren.

His family and his community were his passion.  He was an avid volunteer who served many community service organizations including Wallacetown Fair, Bobier Villa, Dunwich Township Council, Dutton Lions Club and many more.  Last year, he was so honoured to have “Breezy’s Splash Pad” named after him.

A private burial will take place, followed by a huge celebration of life at a later date.
