Beverley Ann (Glenn) Glenn McCallum

Peacefully, with John by her side, on Sunday July 6, 2025, Beverley Glenn McCallum of Amherstburg and formerly of Collingwood, in her 74th year. Beverley leaves behind her loving husband, partner and best friend John.  

“If you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life.” That is how Beverley felt about teaching. From Physical Education, Business, Library, French, to Vice Principal, and Principal in the elementary, secondary and Australian systems, teaching was not work but a joy for 34 years. She credits this to the wonderful educators and support staff whom she met and worked along side of – even on the many picket lines through the years. She spent much of her career in the Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo region. With a smile on her face, you can almost hear the words freedom 55 – which meant new adventures to go out, explore the world and meet new challenges. The new was moving to Collingwood in 2005 for retirement. Another permanent home was made with her husband and family that grew at one point to three awesome Blue Point Siamese. These were her children for sure. Not to sit still, in retirement for 14 years Beverley worked at Blue Mountain Resort. A taste of everything from Housekeeping, Off Resort Activities, Golf Club and more. Summers were great fitting in work around playing tennis and then the world of golf. Winters found her passion for the pint size ski crowd, working at Kids at Blue South Base Lodge. “I loved every minute of it!” The administrative skills were not lost on her passions of tennis and golf, as for many years Beverley provided input, volunteerism, and leadership at both the Craigleith Tennis Club and Cranberry Golf Club.

Friends are welcomed to join the family at Arn Funeral Home Rodney, 212 Furnival Rd, Thursday July 10, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Light refreshments after the service. Interment will take place at Rodney Cemetery July 12, 2025.  In Beverley’s memory donations to Doctors Without Borders greatly appreciated.
