Alexander David Henderson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Alexander David Henderson on March 14, 2025, at the age of 64, from a cardiac event. Born on January 4, 1961, Alex was raised in Dutton, Ontario, as the only son of Donald and Betty Henderson and beloved brother to Nancy (Victor West) and Diana (Ron Wilkins). He was a cherished father to David, Michelle, and Ian Henderson (Robyn), grandfather to Owen, Adeline, Donovan, Malachi and Elijah, and uncle to Heather, Alex, Matthew, Robert, Emma, and Steven.

Known for his charismatic personality, boisterous laughter and droll sense of humor, Alex loved to get a rise out of people and cherished his moments spent with loved ones. From an early life of farming, he developed a strong work ethic that stayed with him throughout his life and his long career in the transportation industry. A man of many hobbies and talents, Alex could be found over the years with his father or sons attending car shows, restoring classic Mopar cars or International Harvester tractors, playing his guitar or spinning a beautiful woman around a dance floor.

Alex will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues. His legacy of hard work, love for life, and the joy he brought to others will live on in the hearts of those he touched. The family welcomes those who loved Alex to celebrate his life on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 3:00pm, the Arn Funeral Home in Dutton, Ontario,  with a "Time For Remembrance" to begin at 4:00 pm.
