  It is with deepest sorrow we announce the sudden passing of  Edward Kalita,of West Lorne on February 22, 2019 in his 89th year.  Ed was born  August 11,1930 in Hamilton.  He is survived by Thelma, his wife  of 67 years. Dearly loved father of Gary and Linda Kalita,Carolyn and David Arn, Diane Kalita, Joanne and John Johnston, Christine and Denis Hardy, John and Celedonia Kalita, Peter and Willma  Kalita, Paul and Jakki Kalita, Mary and Peter Jocius and David and Sheila Kalita.  Ed was blessed with many grandchildren  and great grandchildren. Ed is survived by his sister Jannette  Huszczo, and brother-in-law Clifford McCollow and his wife Marian. Ed was predeceased by grandsons Cole Kalita, Christopher Graham and great granddaughter Adalynn Hardy. Ed was a life time farmer spending 56 years farming in Aldborough Twp. He was proud to be a farmer. He was a pioneer in the tobacco industry, cash crop farming and in establishing the Ontario Corn Producers Association. He truly embraced the industry of farming, moreover he enhanced and shared his knowledge with his family. Ed was an avid arrow head collector, loved to travel, enjoyed wood working and all family activity.  We will miss him dearly. Donations in Ed's memory would be appreciated to the West Lorne Optimist- Playground Equipment or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 221. Family and friends will be received at Arn Funeral Home 193  Shackleton St. Dutton [519-762-2416] Wednesday February 27 2-4 &  7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Mary's Church  132 Main St. West Lorne  on Thursday February 28, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St Mary's Cemetery.
