Peacefully at home on the farm where she lived with her husband since their marriage in 1955, with her family at her side, on Thursday May 31, 2018, Clementina “Tina” Marie Hentz passed away in her 84th year, after a long battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Peter Hentz of 63 years. Dear mother and grandmother and great-grandmother of Karen and Donald Ford, Carrie Ford, Jennifer [Kesav] Ford, Nicholas [Ashley] Ford, Michael and Ingrid Hentz, Sarah [Peter] Littlejohn, Reid and Graham Littlejohn, Joseph [Ashlee] Hentz, James and Connor Hentz, Andrew [Jennifer] Hentz, Emmerich Hentz, Gerald and Nora Hentz, Austin Hentz, Susan Laing and Jeffery Jackson, Melanie [Ryan] Laing, Lindsay [Luke] Laing, Patricia and James Corneil, Olivia, Jake Corneil. Survived by her sisters Annie, Ginny, Margie, and Louise. Predeceased by her parents Constant and Matilda DeCorte, and her siblings, Nettie, Gus and Joe. She will also be greatly missed by many close friends and extended family members too numerous to list. Tina was a member of the Catholic Women’s League, and an active volunteer in the community with the Wallacetown Agricultural Society and at Bobier Villa. Tina was an avid baker and knitter; her delicious desserts were second to none and coveted by many Dutton-Dunwich residents. Her kind heart, generous nature and unconditional love for her family are her beautiful legacy that always will be remembered. Relatives and friends will be received at the Arn Funeral Home 193 Shackleton St, Dutton 519-762-2416 on Friday June 1, 2-4 & 7-9. The funeral mass will be held at St Helen’s Church, Wallacetown on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St Helen’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the St Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation or the West Elgin Daffodil Society.
